I'd go for i7, Intel has had the lead and they run usally much more cooler making them suitable for overclocking.

Isn't i7 considered the class-leader?

I was thinking of getting a good upgrade (£800ish) but anyone else think that over the last 2 years system requirements haven't ballooned like they normally do? Crysis and UT3 are still the best-looking games out there?
