Full 3.2 Changelog Released; CMs can now play.
Late last night the 3.2 changelog was released and constellation members got their hands on the current build.
The changelog is huge so I'll direct you to a link instead of posting the whole thing:
NS v3.2 Changelog
Note that everything is still subject to change and may not make it into the final release. Also, the above changelog has some missing information; e.g. Jetpack cost has been reduced from 15 to 10.
For the league scene, the major changes are:
* Fixed structure hitboxes. Marines have a much easier time defending their structures from skulks.
* Minimap improvements. Structures/players on the minimap will turn red when taking damage. Both aliens and marines can react to enemy attacks much quicker without the need of the commander/other players saying so.
* Hive teleportation. About as big as changes get- you can +use a hive to move to another one (building hives need to be +used to enable other players to move to it). MC dependancy is lowered making DC and SC as the first choice chamber viable.
* Phil nerfed. For lerks- celerity has less of an effect and pancaking upwards is slower.
* +movement. By binding a key to +movement; you will leap/blink/charge when you press this key- even if you have other "weapons" (e.g. bite) selected. Makes leap/biting and metabolising/blinking easy.
* Fade blink rate of fire halved. No more blinking into walls- sherpa approves.
* HLTV is now hot. It's now a complete feature as the sprite, particle and (I think!) health and ammo data is propagated to spectators. The first person/minimap split-screen view is now great to watch. Kudos to puzl for doing this on his own so competitive players get a better spectating experience.
* Ghost structures. No more node or structure blocking.
* Equipment HUD sprites. Now we won't be going 10 minutes without realising we have grenades/welders/mines.
* Custom crosshairs. Although it is now a hassle to add custom crosshairs I don't see the need to as the 4 new default sets are great to use. They are a blend of Fana's and mop's crosshairs.
* JPs are now cheaper and easier to use.
Of the new ns_ maps, I think lucid has the potential to be used competitively, but I'll let others be the judge of that.
3.2 officially rocks- check the website or Gamesurge's CM IRC room for download/connection info.
[13.35] Note that as of this morning the website suffered a temporary hiccup. This problem should be resolved within the next few hours (or 14 months, lol!). During this downtime it's possible that the auth server will die- meaning icons will be lost and the 3.2 server will kick everybody. I'll keep you updated.

Gorges can find it hard to escape from the new c12, and skulks clip between the pipes and wall where the old c12 used to be.

3.2 is indeed very good, lucid is the only good map from the new ones imo.
